Answers to the questions our families ask most. Still stuck? Contact our office and we’ll be glad to help.
How do I find out which bus my child is on?
Sign in to the Parent Portal (BusPlanner Web) to see the assigned bus, stop and times. Details are usually posted in late August.
Is my child eligible for transportation?
Eligibility is based on the walking distance from your home (or childcare address) to your designated school, measured along the shortest safe route. JK/SK students are always eligible (0.0 km); the walking distance is 1.0 km for Grades 1–3, 1.6 km for Grades 4–8, and 3.0 km for secondary students. See the Eligibility page for the full table or check your address online.
How do I change my address or update information?
Contact your child’s school office. They update your details and transportation is reassigned automatically. See Transportation Forms.
How will I know if the bus is cancelled?
Cancellations are posted by weather zone on our Alerts page, and you can subscribe to email or text notifications. Local radio also announces cancellations on severe-weather mornings.
Can my child be picked up or dropped off at a daycare or sitter?
Yes, if the alternate address is used consistently each week and is within the school’s attendance area. Provide the address to your school. See Joint Custody for two-home arrangements.
Why is my child’s stop not right in front of our house?
Stops are placed at safe, central locations to keep routes efficient across a large rural area. If you have a safety concern about your stop, you can request a review through the appeals process.
What if I disagree with a transportation decision?
You can submit a formal appeal — for courtesy transportation, a walking-distance review or a stop review — through our online self-serve system.
