- Backorder
- An order accepted for an item that is temporarily out of stock — it ships as soon as new stock arrives, usually within 2–3 weeks.

- Carrier
- The company that physically delivers your parcel (courier or postal service).

- The whole process of picking, packing and shipping an order.

- Lead time
- How long it takes from placing an order to receiving it.

- RMA
- Return Merchandise Authorization — the approval needed before sending an item back.

- SKU
- Stock Keeping Unit — a unique code identifying a specific product variant.

- Tracking number
- A code you use to follow your parcel's journey to your door.

- Waybill
- The carrier's document describing a shipment and its route.
